Francis is a full time professional musician. He performed as a soloist at Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore at the East Coast Sailing Club from 2001 to 2005. His blend of solo instrumental and vocal repertoire has enchanted customers who wined and dined at this famous restaurant located at the shores of East Coast. He is also rhythm guitarist and singer of the local music group “He Arts” who are performing at the Beach Hut at East Coast Park on weekends. 2
Francis attained the ABRSM Grade 8 (classical guitar) in 2004. He is currently pursuing the ATCL, Associate Diploma (Performance) from Trinity College of Music, (London) as part of his continual progress as a classical guitarist. Under the National Arts Council - Arts Education Programmes, he has conducted Guitar Enrichment Courses at the following schools since 2002 with Avant Garde Promotions. He was part of the Avant Garde Promotions creative team that produced the 12 FAS S’League clubs’ cheers and club theme songs in 2001. With his local pop group, “He-Arts” has released their first album entitled “Move On All The Way” and was the vocal group that recorded the soundtrack for the local movie “Talking Cock” in 2002. Francis passion and commitment as an lower secondary ensemble instructor is truly evident in Raffles Institution and Paya Lebar Methodist Girls Secondary. He has trained well grounded guitarists who have gone on to their senior ensembles to attain excellent awards in the SYF and well received guitar concerts Francis teaches graded classical guitar lessons (Trinity and ABRSM) at Tomas Music Center in between his busy school teaching and weekend performances |
